One Africa Music Fest is the biggest and most buzzed about African music festival, with organizer Paul Okoye leaving his mark in the African entertainment industry by consistently putting on a successful show for the past 2 years all over the world.
The festival entices new and die-hard fans to enjoy African music and culture through performances by the most in-demand artists on the continent, exhibiting the talent of those who were able to rise and build their own musical legacies in their home countries and the whole of Africa. The event spans several cities – London, Dubai, and New York – drawing in fans from all cultures and exposing them to the vibrancy and dynamism of Afrobeats music. Previous editions have also included American and Caribbean artists into the mix, embodying the diversity that the festival encourages its fans to be a part of.
After the successful June 2nd show in London, here are the remaining dates for this year:
- New York (Ford Amphitheater, Coney Island Brooklyn) August the 11th, 2018
- Dubai (Dubai Festival City Concert Arena) November the 16th, 2018
A few of the big names that have performed at previous festivals have included Davido (Nigeria), Wizkid (Nigeria), Jidenna (originally from Nigeria), Sarkodie (Ghana), Wale (originally from Nigeria), Casper Nyovet (South Africa), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Stonebwoy (Ghana), Kranium (Jamaica), Swizz Beats (USA), Nasty C (South Africa) alongside many, many more up and coming artists. One Africa Music Fest started with a bang and has been steadily gaining global steam. No other event like it has yet been able to top it’s ability to bring together the African community to one location abroad. We look forward to see what the future holds for African music on the international scene.
